I went into town today to watch a movie at the cinema, I watched "Tron - Legacy" I try to go to a movie at least every other week, now that I am only working a 20 hour week, before I went every week, I love movies, they are the great escape, the vacation from reality for those who actually live in it, as for me the jury is still out on that one. It's great that it was in Real D 3D, I wish we could see life in digital 3D, I remember thinking that when I was watching "Avatar" who beautiful and brilliant everything looked and Neytin's eyes were gorgeous, I could stay in that world forever, if I die i have decided i want to do it watching a movie in the theater during the final credits.
Afterwards I went into town for a bite to eat, trying to keep pace with the cars rushing to the next red light, and we caught every one, and the occasional idiot speeding in the right turn only lane to cut someone off in the forward lane, maybe the economy has slowed but people sure haven't, it's like they are rushing headlong unto death.
My daughter was reminiscing about laying in bed and listening to her music on cassettes in her Walkman in the 90's and I said life seemed so much easier 20 years ago, and she said the sweetest thing back to me, she said it was easier because she had me taking care of her, well this grown man cried, I love her so much and sometimes wonder if I made a difference in her life and now I know for sure that I did !
But I thought about it and 20 years ago which was the title of a Kenny Rogers song with the same theme that rings true. 20 years ago a $100 went a long way, 30 years ago it was enough for me to live on for a whole week 35 years ago I bought a decent used car for $100.....Now after putting gas in the tank and buying a few groceries if I watch a movie I will a few dollars left for work money from a $100 dollar bill and that is buying a lot of box food instead of healthy stuff. You add the word Lite or diet or just the word healthy and it shoots the cost of the product up even when in most cases it is just putting in less sugar.
I am home now and it is nap time as I ate too much, so that is all for now.
